- September – November — Short dry season : Best time to explore the interior: roads are passable and wildlife is visible around water sources.
- February – April — Main dry season : Second dry season, ideal for Kaieteur Falls and the Rupununi. Georgetown is more pleasant too.

What to do in Guyana?
Guyana is the only English-speaking country in South America, a land of almost untouched primary rainforest covering 80% of the territory. Kaieteur Falls (five times taller than Niagara), tepuis, jaguars and exceptional biodiversity make it a leading ecotourism destination for adventurers.
Kaieteur Falls
Kaieteur Falls is one of the most powerful waterfalls in the world: 226 m high and 100 m wide, with an impressive flow. Accessible only by plane from Georgetown, it is surrounded by primary rainforest home to the world's unique golden poison frog.

Rupununi Savannas
The Rupununi Savannas are a vast plain on the Brazilian border, a mosaic of grasslands, gallery forests and wetlands. Makushi and Wapishana Indigenous communities live here, alongside jaguars, giant otters and giant arapaimas.
Highlights : Iwokrama National Park, Canopy Walkway Iwokrama, Arapaima (fishing).
Georgetown
The capital is a unique blend of Creole, Indian, Amerindian and Dutch cultures. Its brightly painted Victorian wooden houses, Stabroek Market and St George's Cathedral (the tallest wooden cathedral in the world) are remarkable.
